How it works

Five steps,
from first call to handover.

Find the problem, explain the fix, scope it together, build it, hand it over. Each step ends in something you can hold: a written summary, a ranked list, a scope with a price on it, software that runs. The first step is free.

  1. 01

    Free consultation

    About 90 minutes, no charge

We sit down with you and with whoever does the work. How does a new client reach you? What happens between the first call and the first invoice? Where does somebody say “I just handle that myself”? This is where we find the problem, and it is free so that we can tell you the truth about it.

What you getA written summary of how work moves through your business, with every manual step marked. Yours whether or not you continue.

  2. 02

What we would fix, and why

    About a week

We put hours against what we found. Which manual steps cost the most time, which cause the most errors, and which look worse than they are. Then we explain the fix in plain English: what to build, what to change, and what to leave alone.

What you getA ranked list of what is worth fixing, with hours attached, and a second list of what we would leave alone.

  3. 03

    Scope it together

    About a week

We agree on what gets built. Every piece is named. Every connection to another system is checked against that system’s own documentation, not its marketing page. If something cannot be done the way you pictured it, you hear it now, while it is still a conversation and not a change order.

What you getA written scope naming every piece and every connection, with a fixed price on it.

  4. 04

    Build

    Set in the scope

We build it against the tools you already pay for. You can watch it happen: a link you can open, a written update every week, and staging you never have to ask permission to see. Nothing goes live before you have used it yourself.

What you getWorking software, deployed, running on your real data.

  5. 05

    Training and a 30-day review

    Handover, then 30 days

Software nobody uses is an invoice. We train the people whose hands will be on it, in their own systems, doing their own work. Then we come back after a month, once the novelty has worn off and the awkward cases have shown up.

What you getShort recorded walkthroughs per task, documentation you can edit, and a 30-day review.

The other half

When we will tell you not to build it.

A project that never repays itself costs you more than the work we decline. Reading this list is also the quickest way to find out whether we are worth listening to.

  • The process underneath is broken. Automating it gives you broken output faster. We fix the process first or we do not take the work.

  • The volume does not justify it. A task that takes twenty minutes a month will never repay a build. Sometimes the honest answer is a checklist.

  • The software you own already does it. We will tell you when the feature is sitting in a product you pay for and nobody switched it on.

  • It needs judgment that should stay with a person. Some decisions belong to you, and we will say so instead of selling you a machine to make them.

Questions

The things people ask before they call.

Answered here so you do not have to book a call to find out. If yours is not on the list, ask it in the form and a person answers.

How much does it cost?
The consultation is free. Websites are $1,000 to $3,000, with a business card redesign included. Client intake with a client portal is $5,000 to $7,000. A CRM your business owns outright is $50,000. Strategy consulting is $350 an hour, and hosting starts at $20 a month. Automations, AI and integrations are scoped with you in the consultation and get a fixed price before anything is built. Every number is on the pricing page.
What happens in the free consultation?
About 90 minutes with a business automation specialist, looking at how work moves through your business and where it stalls. Bring whoever does the day-to-day work. A few days later you get a written summary of what we found and what would fix it, and you keep it whether or not you hire us.
How long does it take?
The consultation is about 90 minutes, and the write-up and the scope take about a week each. The build is sized in the scope, so it is the one duration we cannot state in advance: a website is usually live in weeks, and a portal, a CRM or a set of integrations can run for months. Kickoff happens within five days of signing, and there is a link you can open by the end of week one.
Do you work with the software we already use?
Yes, and that is most of the work. We build against practice management, field service and accounting systems, including Clio, ServiceTitan, Jobber, QuickBooks, Xero and DocuSign, using the official connections those systems publish. Every connection is checked against the system’s own documentation before it is scoped, so you are never told something is possible and then charged to discover it is not.
What does $1,000 get me?
A focused website: a handful of pages, designed and built on your domain, fast on a phone, set up to be found on Google, with a contact form that reaches you, and a redesign of your business card included. More pages, online booking, payments or a connection to your business software move the price toward $3,000, and we tell you by how much before we start.
Will you tell us not to build something?
Regularly, and the list of what we decline is published on this page. We turn down work where the process underneath is broken, where the volume will never repay a build, where the feature already exists in software you pay for, and where the decision needs judgment that should stay with a person.
Do we have to replace the systems we already pay for?
Almost never, and we will argue against it. The systems most businesses run are good. What is missing is the wiring between them. Replacing a working system costs you the migration, the retraining and the institutional memory, and usually buys back less than wiring up the one you have.
What is strategy consulting, and who runs it?
Strategy consulting is for the problems software cannot fix: where the business should go, what to stop doing, how to price, how to grow without breaking what works. It is run by Dr. Klavdia (Claudia) Evans, who holds a PhD in strategic management from the University of Houston and an MBA from LSU, and has taught strategy at business schools since 2016. She works with owners one-on-one at $350 an hour, booked through the same free consultation, and you can hire her without building anything.
Who owns the work when it is finished?
You do, including the accounts. Every service is set up in your name on your billing, the documentation is written so you can edit it, and every piece of access you granted us is handed back and switched off at handover. We keep a written register of that access and give you the same list with every line struck through.
What happens to our client data?
It stays in your systems, and it does not go into a consumer AI tool or turn up as an example in somebody’s prompt. If any part of a build would send your data to a third-party AI service, you are told which service and asked in writing first, and you can say no and still have the build. We will never ask you to email us a password, an API key or a recovery code.
What kinds of businesses do you work with?
Owner-run businesses: law firms, accounting practices, clinics, contractors and the trades, agencies. The common thread is not the industry. It is a business that bought good software for each part of the job and has a person in the middle moving information between them by hand.
Do you build AI automation?
Yes, where it earns its place. We automate the reading, drafting and routing work that sits around your team’s judgment, such as intake, follow-ups and document drafts, with a person in the loop wherever a mistake would cost money or trust. We also publish the automation work we decline, because adding AI to a broken process just produces confident mistakes faster.
Where is Weblux located?
Weblux is based in Louisiana and works with businesses across the state, from Baton Rouge and New Orleans outward, and remotely across the United States. The consultation happens in person or over a video call, and every step of the process ends in a written document, so distance has never been the constraint.
Step one

It starts with a free consultation.

The consultation is not a sales call wearing a different hat. You come out of it seeing your own operation more clearly, with the write-up to prove it, whether or not you ever hire us.
